The Meanings of Roses

Long stem roses, especially long stem red roses, have always been one of the very most popular types of flowers to send. Especially on Valentine's Day, sending a dozen long stem red roses is a long practiced tradition. Maybe it is because of the meaning behind the roses. Red roses mean love, I love you and passion. The meaning and significance of the red rose is probably why it has stayed a classic for so long. After all, isn't that what you want to say to your special someone on Valentine's Day, a Birthday, Anniversary etc.? But don't forget, roses come in other colors too. The other rose colors have their own symbolic meanings as well.

Red Roses - love, I love you, passion

White Roses - innocence and purity, I am worthy of you

White & Red Roses Together - unity

Yellow Roses - friendship, decrease of love, jealousy

Peach Roses - desire and excitement

Pink Roses - perfect happiness

Tea Roses - I'll remember always

Thornless Roses - love at first sight

Rosebud - beauty and youth

Bouquet of Mature Rose Blooms - gratitude

One Single Full Bloom - I love you
